How does Found Abroad work?
You can request items directly from the listings on our site. Once we've confirmed availability, we'll send you a personalised quote including your selected shipping option. Upon approval and payment, your item is sourced and delivered directly to your door.
Can I request something that's not listed?
Not at the moment - but we're working on a feature that allows your to submit specific item requests. Stay tuned!
Is everything brand new?
Yes — every item we list or source is brand new and handpicked from trusted retailers across New Zealand & Australia.
Can I return an item if it doesn't fit or I change my mind?
Because items are sourced specifically upon request, returns aren't available unless the item arrives faulty or not as described. Please make sure to check sizing and product details carefully before submitting a request.
Are NZ and UK clothing sizes the same?
Yes – women’s clothing sizes in New Zealand are generally the same as UK sizes, so you can order your usual UK size with confidence.
For shoes, the sizing is a bit different between NZ/AU and the UK. To help with this, we’ve included a conversion chart on each shoe listing – just click the size guide icon to check your correct fit before submitting a request.
How long will it take to receive my item?
Once your item has been secured, Standard Shipping typically takes 4–6 business days and Express Shipping typically takes 2–4 business days from dispatch.
Delivery estimates will be confirmed with your quote.
Can I send something as a gift?
Absolutely. When submitting your request or completing your purchase, just tick the box to let us know it’s a gift. We’ll remove pricing and can include a personalized note.
What if i request something but it's no longer available?
We'll always to our best to source exactly what you're after. If we can't we'll let you know, and if possible, offer an alternative. You're welcome to accept or decline.
Do I have to pay customs or VAT?
No — we take care of VAT and customs charges during bulk shipment process. Your item is then sent within the UK, so you won't be hit with any surprise fees on delivery.
What happens after I submit a request?
You'll get an email confirming we've received your request. We'll then start sourcing your item and keep you posted. Once sourced, you'll be asked to confirm and pay before we ship.
Can I cancel a request?
Yes — but only before we've sourced and secured your item. If you'd like to cancel, email us at hello@foundabroad.com as soon as possible.
Do you offer children’s or men’s clothing?
Not just yet - for now, we focus on women's fashion. Men's and children's categories are in the works and will be added at a later stage. In the meantime, let us know what else you'd love to see!
I’m based in New Zealand / Australia — can I request something from the UK and have it sent to me?
Yes — if there’s something you’ve seen in the UK that you’d like help sourcing, feel free to submit a request. While we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to find or ship it, we’ll absolutely do our best to make it happen through our UK hub.
